I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to a unique word in the Luminal Mind universe. The word is ‘Sapiedelic,’ and we will explore this concept much further. Professor Andraz Pibernik gets all the credit for this neologism (a new word, expression, or usage), and we love to give credit where it is due. As a long-time collaborator, we thank him for enriching our lives with new words, concepts, and ideas.
As we stand on the precipice of a new renaissance, we must remember that our journey is not just one of accumulating facts but also deeply personal and transformative. We must encourage each other to question structures of authority, where dogma often overshadows discovery, and recognize that truth is both accessible and deeply personal to each seeker. The Sapiedelic pursuit is as much about the evolution of the self as it is about the accumulation of knowledge.
Sapie’ originates from wisdom and knowledge. It's derived from the Latin word "sapere," which means to be wise. This part of the word shows how important it is for us to learn and grow. Whereas ‘delic’ means to attain and acquire. It's derived from the Latin word "delicere," which means to take pleasure in. This part of the word emphasizes the importance of actively seeking knowledge and wisdom. Therefore, this new discipline is a call to attain and acquire wisdom and knowledge.
As a word meaning to attain and acquire wisdom and knowledge, it hints at a new discipline and should be integrated into our modern-day vernacular and usage. We seek conscious participation with words and definitions and hope to inspire others to improve the language. Sapiedelic can also mean “to delight in wisdom.”
If you desire a better life, upgrade your vocabulary. But it goes further than that. It will require us as conscious creators to bring new words and concepts into existence that speak to the light behind our intent to create a new cultural expression that better serves the needs of our local and global communities.
